WHAT IS RADIOFREQUENCY ?
Radiofrequency works on reducing wrinkles and sagging skin.
Invasive procedures are giving way to gentler techniques including the use of radiofrequency. This is a valuable tool in the fight against sagging skin and is a technique that has attracted considerable interest over a number of years.
→ Radiofrequency involves using a current that generates heat, reaching into the upper dermis, stimulating the production of new elastic fibres, collagen and elastin as well as causing the contraction of existing fibres. The result is improved skin tone – this is an effective method for counteracting any moderate sagging of facial tissue.
This technique has a double effect – treating wrinkles and improving skin tone. It also stimulates the production of collagen.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A RADIOFREQUENCY WORKSHOP?
The practitioner uses a hand-held device that sends heat to the targeted area, designed to stimulate collagen production. Over the course of the weeks following treatment, collagen production will continue to be stimulated. There will be a gradual, visible improvement to the skin and wrinkles in the targeted area. Further sessions may be needed depending on each individual patient.
The skin is more radiant, fuller, firmer, smoother…with improved tone and the pores are less visible.
