ULTHERAPY – WHAT IS IT ?
Ultherapy is often used for tightening the skin on the face, neck and chest area.
It’s a bit like wearing Skin’Up slimming clothing…! No need for a scalpel….ultherapy is non-invasive.
One single treatment for tightening the skin under the chin, around the neck and chest, the jowls…it’s even effective for eyelids that are starting to droop…
→ Ultherapy uses ultrasound to reach into the deeper layers of the skin and stimulate collagen production. A reduction in the skin’s natural levels of collagen is what causes the skin to lose its elasticity and leads to sagging and wrinkles.
This is why ultherapy is used in treating the face and décolleté area. In only one session, ultrasound can be safely transmitted to a pre-calculated depth within the treatment area (from 1.5 to 4.5mm).
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE ULTHERAPY WORKSHOP?
The ultherapy device uses ultrasound imagery, allowing the practitioner to actually see the layers of targeted tissue – so the treatment is both safe and effective. A session lasts about 30 minutes and requires no downtime. Some patients may experience a slight redness afterwards but this does not usually last longer than a maximum of 2-3 hours.
This is an ideal treatment for patients who are not yet prepared to go down the surgery route but who are already noticing signs of skin ageing: eyelids, brow, jowls, chin… However, when the degree of sagging is really significant, a surgical lift may be the only solution.
A single session of ultherapy is usually sufficient. The results are gradual and appear over 2 to 3 months following the treatment. In fact, improvements to the skin can continue to be seen for up to 6 months.
